John, Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” is removing key restrictions on dangerous weapons, like silencers and short-barreled rifles, that have been regulated for nearly 100 years. It’s taking away background checks and tax requirements that helped keep these weapons off our streets and out of dangerous hands.

And that’s not all. The Trump administration also wants to cut nearly a quarter of the ATF’s budget – the federal agency that investigates illegal guns.
