Friend,
Today, the Senate will vote on an amendment to the Rescissions Act to determine the futures of the world’s most vulnerable children and their families.
Submitted by the White House earlier this year and recently passed by the House, the proposal calls on Congress to reclaim Fiscal Year 2025 funding for critical humanitarian programs, including UNICEF’s core funding.
These funds help protect more than 440 million children each year from deadly disease and malnutrition. They support emergency nutrition, health systems and food security programs that promote stability in fragile regions and prevent the spread of global health threats — including those impacting the United States.
Eliminating this funding puts the lives and futures of the most vulnerable children at even greater risk. It weakens U.S. leadership on the world stage. And it undercuts the bipartisan values that have long defined America’s role in advancing global health, security and opportunity. |
Now more than ever, we need your voice.
Contact your senators today and urge them to support the amendment to the Rescissions Act to protect UNICEF funding.
Thank you for making a difference,
UNICEF USA |
