For four years, the Biden-Harris administration created the worst border crisis in American history. From day one, Biden, Harris, and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas implemented a policy of mass catch-and-release, dismantled effective border-security policies, and gutted interior enforcement. As a result, roughly 13 million inadmissible aliens were either encountered at our borders or entered as gotaways. The consequences have been devastating.   

Thousands of Americans were lost to fentanyl poisonings. Gang members wreaked havoc in local communities. Young women like Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, and Rachel Morin were raped, abused, and murdered. 

This week, I chaired a hearing to bring accountability to the Biden Administration for using Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to orchestrate and encourage the movement of illegal immigrants across our southern border and into communities across our nation. Now that President Trump is in office and the border is secure, I am working with Republicans in Congress to expose any bad actors and follow the money to these NGOs.

H.R. 1919 – Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act

The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act prohibits unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. from issuing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) that undermines Americans’ right to financial privacy.

 

Begin consideration of H.R. 4016 – Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2026

The Defense Appropriations Bill provides a total discretionally allocation of money, advances the America First agenda, and adheres to the discretionary budget topline put forward by the Office of Management and Budget request.

 


H.R. 3633 – Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025

The CLARITY Act establishes clear, functional requirements for digital asset market participants, prioritizing customer protection while fostering innovation. By providing strong safeguards and long-overdue regulatory certainty, this legislation advances American innovation and reinforces America’s leadership in the global financial system.

 


S. 1582 – Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act

The GENIUS Act provides a clear regulatory framework for the issuance of payment stablecoins, a payment product that is currently offered in the United States with little, if any federal oversight. The GENIUS Act prioritizes customer protection, fosters innovation, and strengthens the U.S. dollar’s reserve currency status.
