[1]VoteVets

back in 2006, we never would’ve guessed VoteVets would be in this position.

We were just a few scrappy vets pissed off about getting lied into a war by our so-called leaders, about getting betrayed by those leaders, and coming home to see those leaders carrying on and cashing in on the war while our friends were still overseas getting blown up.

So, we organized. We brought more vets together. We started raising money, we started running ads. We started winning races. We grew. Year over year, we grew and we grew until now.

2024 was a tough year for Democrats, but not for VoteVets. Our candidates won the toughest races in the country, like Elissa Slotkin in Michigan or Ruben Gallego in Arizona. Even the nominee for Vice President was a longtime VoteVets member. We won races up and down the ballot from coast to coast.

Back in 2006 we didn’t know if we’d last a year, and now this. VoteVets is one of the top spending organizations in politics, one of the heaviest hitters, one of the deepest benches, with probably the best record of any group out there. The largest group of Veterans on this side of the aisle. Period.

We got here because we picked our ground and fought like hell for it. We went straight for Republicans wrapping themselves in the flag, taking patriotism for their own, and voting to defund the GI Bill or the VA and we kicked their asses out of office. No mercy.

And, really, we got here because we have the best team. That means you, Keith. We’ve always had supporters willing to put skin in the game, take ownership, do the work, and send us the ammo to put withering fire down range. It’s humbling, and we’re extremely grateful.

Today, we’re in the toughest fight of our organization’s history. Trump’s trying to kill the VA, Medicaid, the Department of Education, food assistance, mortgage assistance. All the things Veterans and their families depend on to get by. We’ve taken some big hits these last seven months, but we’re not out of the fight.

At times like these we really need our strongest supporters to stand with us and give us the tools we need to hit back.

So, we’re asking if you can help, again. Please, chip in $5, $10, whatever you can to support our mission and keep us on track to take back the House and the Senate and put a lid on the chaos coming out of the White House. It adds up.
