My name is Dianne Morales, and I’m running to be the next Mayor of New York City.
As a political outsider, I knew this campaign would be an uphill battle — but New Yorkers can’t afford four more years of the same old playbook. As a native New Yorker, woman of color, single mother, and former non-profit CEO, I know firsthand the struggles our city is facing because I have lived them. I’m ready to get to work building a New York City that works for everyone and uplifts the city’s most vulnerable communities.
I’ve spent my life advocating and working shoulder to shoulder with the community. I have always believed that the best way to change the future is to create it. The solutions to the challenges our communities face are in the hands of the people who live them.
We must work with our families, our neighbors, and our communities to create the New York City we deserve — a New York that ensures the right to quality housing, jobs, education, healthcare, and transportation for all. And the New York of our vision must value and elevate the voices of women of color because they are the backbone of a thriving society — and when women win, we all win.
Look I’m not the establishment's chosen candidate. Our path forward to a just and inclusive future will be an uphill battle. But I know that together, we have the ability to create real change that impacts the lives of every New Yorker.
