There is now proof that while families reel from the loss of their children being gunned down, groups like the NRA, GOA, and the NSSF, funnel money to their loyal politicians in an attempt to stifle public demand for life-saving gun violence prevention legislation.

The vile nature of this now-proven fact can't be overstated, John, and the gun lobby has been doing this for decades.

2021:

When four kids were killed and seven injured in a shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan, gun lobby PACs increased election contributions by 434%.

2015:

When one kid was killed at school in Fresno, CA, gun lobby PACs increased election contributions by 2,384%.

2013:

When one kid was killed at school in Aurora, CO, gun lobby PACs increased election contributions by nearly 5,000%.

2010:

When one kid was killed at Discovery Middle School Shooting in Huntsville, AL, gun lobby PACs increased election contributions by 965%. 

These are only some of the examples of the blood money the gun lobby has pumped into districts that have been irrevocably changed by school shootings. Guns are the number one cause of death for kids and teens and the gun lobby is pumping money into political campaigns that will ensure this remains our tragic reality. 

The gun lobby is working directly against what the American people want – an overwhelming 60% of Americans think preventing gun violence is more important than protecting gun rights. We want change – not the NRA's guns everywhere agenda. It shouldn't be a hard question, but we live in a country where we have to prove that we care about our kids.
