"Hi, it's Governor Healey. Will you chip in to help elect Dem govs?"

Hey there, John, it’s Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey. I’m reaching out to you today because even though Donald Trump and his entire administration are causing chaos and instability, Democratic governors are more determined than ever to make life better for everyone.

This month, Trump signed his “big, beautiful bill” – which takes away health care and food assistance from millions – into law.

Here’s what this law does:

  • Kicks 17 million people off of their health insurance
  • Takes food away from children, families, seniors, veterans, and more
  • Adds trillions to the national debt
  • Makes life more expensive for everyone

That's not beautiful; it’s costly and cruel to everyday Americans.

Meanwhile, here’s what my budget – that I signed the same day Trump did – does for Massachusetts:

  • Invests in our schools
  • Protects free school meals for kids
  • Fixes roads and bridges
  • Improves public transportation
  • Supports businesses and creates jobs
  • Makes it easier to find affordable child care
  • Lowers the costs of housing and education

While Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans turn their backs on the American people, Democratic governors like me are focused on issues that matter. We’re delivering results for American families and moving our economy forward – cutting taxes, protecting access to reproductive rights, and pushing back against Trump’s attacks on our freedoms.

We’re fighting for progress – and standing as the last line of defense on our fundamental freedoms. But we need your help, John.
