A just-released poll shows our Republican opponent has a 1% lead over
Katie Porter:

Steve Hilton (R): 19%
Katie Porter (D): 18%

Another poll from March showed 48% of California voters are considering
voting for a Republican for governor. We’ve got to take Steve’s candidacy
seriously—we’re not taking anything for granted in this campaign.

California, like much of the country, shifted right in 2024. And
Governor’s races can be funny—we have a Republican Governor in Vermont,
but a Democrat in Kansas. With Newsom term-limited, Republicans are eyeing
this race.
