A persistent and unacceptable pay gap affects millions of women across the nation every day.

Black women are, on average, paid only 63 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. This disparity impacts women in states across the country, hurting their families, communities, and financial security.

In Mississippi, organizations like the Mississippi Black Women's Roundtable are not just highlighting these injustices — they're actively advocating for change. They fight tirelessly to educate the public and demand vital reforms that will elevate women across our target regions. Cassandra Welchlin, their Executive Director (and a member of Groundwork’s National Advisory Board!), wrote an article highlighting this disparity [[link removed]] , which is a must-read.
