This is a longer email than I usually send.

At the end of it, I’m going to ask you to chip in $3 to keep me in Congress working for you. But first, I need to pull back the curtain on the stakes we’re facing in next year’s midterm elections.

Since the passage of the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill”, I’ve been out in our Central and Southern Illinois communities. Folks are scared about the impact of this ugly bill in their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

I met with health care professionals concerned about their ability to care for their patients. Social service and nonprofit groups who provide critical support to our neighbors.

The resounding message was this: The stakes are high, and we need to act.

I’m going to keep working from my position in Congress against the consequences of the MAGA agenda, but it’s going to take winning the House majority to truly hold this administration accountable.

That’s why I need you in this fight alongside me. Three seats separate control, and I’m already facing multiple GOP opponents in this race.
