These investments save lives, protect property, and reduce the cost of disaster recovery — which is critical for states like California that are uniquely at risk from natural disasters like wildfires and earthquakes.
Shutting down the program doesn’t cut waste, it incurs more costs for recovery and cuts public safety — and it’s illegal.
Congress created and expanded this program with overwhelming bipartisan support because it saves lives and money — period. Trump is violating the Constitution, defying the will of Congress, and putting us in danger — so we’re asking the court to intervene.
