Starving to death as vultures circle above, picking at the flesh of dozens of dead horses around her…

Or The Horse Slaughter Kingpin being on the loose to torture and abuse more animals?

It’s a heartbreaking scenario either way, sadly.

But when I learned that Manuel Coto – America’s “Horse Slaughter Kingpin”, was captured and let go AGAIN, I launched ARM’s most important campaign to date.

And as I write this, he is a free man, continuing his business of slaughtering innocent horses and animals. 

Coto was arrested again for abusing and neglecting 24 horses - one who, on arrival, was so emaciated that it had to be euthanized.

“There were dozens and dozens if not hundreds of bones and skeletal remains....Malnourished horses including the horse that could not stand”

Coto has such an extensive rap sheet, and his latest victim suffered senselessly. What’s worse is that he has been in operation for decades but has evaded serious conviction.

Law enforcement lets him go free time and time again. The Attorney General is NOT taking this seriously. And the Kingpin’s reach is growing as he expands operations all over the state.

That’s why ARM must continue to be boots on the ground, keep up the pressure on the Attorney General, and keep exposing the truth through mainstream media about this horrible killer. He is a danger to animals, people, and society!

HEADLINE: “Animal Recovery Mission calling for stiff

punishments against alleged horse abuser”

Plain and simple: The Kingpin is a monster doing unimaginable things to animals.

• He owns and operates a lucrative, but highly illegal animal slaughter farm that tortures and kills animals in cold blood.
• He butchers horses while they are still alive and sells their flesh for human consumption on the black market.
• He neglects and starves horses to death, leaving them to be eaten by buzzards.

But dedicating every day to taking down animal abusers doesn’t come easily or cheaply.

You see, our investigations are physically, mentally, and financially exhausting, and like with Coto, they can continue for years. And then there are the animals at ARM Sanctuary, who are survivors of these horrific crimes. Every one of them requires urgent veterinary care, food, and the immediate construction of shelters. 

But ARM can only take down as many of these killers and provide for as many survivors as we can afford.
