Last week our campaign closed the books on our very first public fundraising deadline, and because of you, we hit our goal for the period. I could not be more grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support.
Since our launch, 80% of the money we’ve raised has come from grassroots donations of less than $100 at a time — drawing support from the Bronx to Buffalo. While my opponent relies on corporate PAC money and special interests groups, we're powered entirely by the people — everyday New Yorkers trying to make a difference.
So thank you for making that possible. Thank you for making sure that we hit our goal and have the resources to run the most effective campaign possible. For making it possible to advocate for affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and universal child care. For believing in a better New York.
This early fundraising success reflects the momentum behind the movement we are building. We’ve still got a long way to go until this race is over. This campaign is going to be a marathon, not a sprint. But one thing I know: I’m beyond grateful to have you on this journey with me.
With love,
Antonio Delgado
