John,

We are officially half-past July, but we are not quite where we hoped to be with our fundraising. Before I personally ask you to chip in $3 toward re-electing the first woman to ever represent CA-30, I need to make clear why this matters right now.

In Washington, there’s a clear battle line that’s been drawn: You’re either fighting for the American people, or standing with the billionaire class. There is no middle ground.

That’s why in Congress, just as I did in the Assembly, every vote I make is grounded in whether or not it truly meets the needs of this district, of each of you.

I’ve championed bold policies to create more affordable housing, protect our vulnerable communities, and make the country follow California’s model for environmental sustainability and clean renewable energy, even as deep-pocketed special interests have fought us.

But in a post-Citizens United world, I cannot do this alone. And every seat we can flip in Washington will go a long way toward winning even bigger battles.

Remember: Action is the best antidote to anxiety. And we all can play a part however we’re able.

That’s why I need to ask today:

If you can, please pitch in $3 by midnight to help us stay on track and build the resources to help flip the House blue, and once again become a majority that reflects the American people.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
$10 $35
$50 $100
$250 OTHER

Thank you,

Laura
