Trust me, I know how tempting it can be to start thinking, "What's the point?"It's easy to believe that truth doesn't matter, or that the fabric of our country is torn beyond repair.

That's how Donald Trump and his cronies want you to think. They want you to believe you’re powerless, because it’s easier for them to steamroll us if we lay down and surrender. The more hopeless and apathetic we feel, the stronger they become.

My advice? Don’t walk into their trap.

As Abe Lincoln (my favorite Republican) once said about a crisis even more dire than this one, there's always been enough virtue in the nation to save the union. Sometimes none to spare, but always enough.

There are a few positive early signs: cracks in the Republican establishment, Trump’s sagging approval numbers, communities banding together to protect those under attack.

The truth is, folks, no one else can fix this for us.

It will take all of us working as one to make sure America emerges from this crisis stronger than before. To make sure our kids and their kids can live in a safe and free nation.

First, we have to keep organizing, keep eroding Trump’s support, and keep forcing his mounting failures into the spotlight.
