Today, JD Vance traveled to Pennsylvania to make the case for the federal budget bill — the one he cast the tie-breaking vote to pass. He made a lot of claims about this legislation. But something you didn’t hear from him?

He was the deciding vote to kick 310,000 Pennsylvanians off their health insurance.

He was the deciding vote to threaten at least 25 rural hospitals with closure.

He was the deciding vote to add $3.3 trillion to the national debt.

He was the deciding vote to kill thousands of energy jobs for Pennsylvanians.

He was the deciding vote to jack up your yearly energy costs.

John, this bill is a disaster for people across Pennsylvania. It kills jobs, raises costs, and saddles our children with even more debt.

So when JD Vance tried to spin this disaster of a bill into a victory earlier today, Pennsylvanians didn’t believe his lies. He proudly owned this bill when he cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate. Now, he has to own the consequences.

Here in Pennsylvania, we’ve taken real steps to put more money back in Pennsylvanians’ pockets. But thanks to the actions of extremists like JD Vance, that progress is at risk. That’s why I need to ask: Will you chip in today to help me keep fighting extremism in every corner of our Commonwealth? We can’t allow them to undo even more progress — not when so many Pennsylvanians are desperate for relief.
