Right now, Mike Pence is in Wisconsin. Donald Trump is close behind — and in 48 hours, he’ll return to the state that handed him the White House by one point in 2016. Our state is one of their first stops since resuming campaigning, and there’s a reason for it.
Trump and his allies think they can squeak by here again and they’re pulling out all the stops to make sure of it. Flooding our state with six-figure ad buys, campaign visits, and enough special-interest cash to swing any election. And speaking of cash, shady megadonors have already given Trump an advantage to the tune of more than $200 million!
In 2018, this incredible grassroots team helped me win re-election by double digits (!) in a state that went to Trump. Our victory here helped down-ballot Democrats win their races, too.
Now, we have the opportunity — and responsibility — to do it all again. If we want to stop Trump from securing a second term, we cannot afford to take Wisconsin for granted this year. So, I’m counting on you to help lead Democrats to victory. That’s why I’m asking:
