So much is at stake in the upcoming elections.

November is our chance to elect not only a new president, but also new state legislators across the country committed to eradicating systemic racism, tackling the pandemic, and righting the course of our democracy.

Like we’ve seen in New York and Colorado, Democratic-held states are leading the charge today to address systemic racism and criminal justice reform. Who we elect in key down-ballot races has a significant impact on our democracy and could not be more important as we head into the most consequential election of our lifetime.

As I recently told The Hill, “All organizing is local...We tend to, I think, separate the activism we’re seeing right now from political activism and campaigns. Campaigns need to be thinking about how they are part of this social movement.”

This coming election is our once-in-a-decade opportunity to win back power up and down the ticket. By retaking key state legislative chambers, we can finally break up long-held GOP trifectas of power in states like Texas and Florida that are some of the worst perpetrators of racial voter discrimination and gerrymandering.

We want to wake up on November 4th knowing we did everything we could to retake key Republican-held state legislative chambers gearing up to gerrymander the next decade.
