CND will again be on the streets of London this Saturday in opposition to nuclear-armed Israel's genocide of Palestinians and to call on the British government to end its complicity and impose a full arms embargo.
This national demonstration comes as the number of confirmed Palestinians killed by Israel in Gaza since October 2023 reached a grim milestone of 58,000 people. On Wednesday, at least 20 were killed while waiting for food distributed by the Israeli and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. Since GHF began operations in May, over 800 Palestinians have been killed by Israel while desperately seeking aid from these facilities.
Rather than holding Israel to account, the British government shamefully continues to repress those standing up for Palestinians and calling for an end to this genocide. Israel uses its status as an undeclared nuclear-armed power to act with impunity in the region, which risks destabilising the entire region. Join us in London this Saturday to call out Israel's nuclear hypocrisy and continue to pressure the British government to take action against Israel’s repeated violations of international law.

Welfare not Warfare: time for an alternative defence strategy - CND TUAG webinar, 23 July
Join CND's Trade Union Advisory Group on Wednesday, 23 July, for a webinar to discuss the Alternative Defence Review - a report that presents an alternative security strategy for peace, justice, and security.
Released in May, the ADR challenges the dominant war narrative cultivated by our government, arms companies, and most of the established media. Since its launch, the ADR has received widespread attention and has been sent to cabinet members, select committee members, journalists, academics and campaigners. This webinar will bring together some of those involved in its development to discuss how we can build the campaign for a defence strategy based on establishing genuine security for all.

With guest speakers: Alex Gordon, RMT former President and Vice-Chair ADR working group; Tom Unterrainer, CND Chair; Tony Staunton, CND Vice-Chair and Trade Union Advisory Group member; José Nivoi, Genoa Dockers CALP.
You can download a copy of the ADR to read here.

Save the date! No new British nukes: protest at RAF Marham, 18 October
CND is calling a national demonstration at RAF Marham against Britain’s disastrous plans to expand its nuclear weapons programme to include nuclear-capable F-35 jets. These jets are designed to launch US B61-12 nuclear bombs, which are being promoted as ‘usable’ nukes. With international tensions rising, we must do everything possible to halt this dangerous move, which increases the risk of nuclear weapons being used in war.
- Saturday, 18 October
- RAF Marham Main Gate, Woodview Road, Upper Marham, King's Lynn, PE33 9NP
More details to be announced. In the meantime, put the date in your diary. If you have any queries, please contact [email protected] or phone the CND office on 020 7700 2393.
