Join us on Tuesday, July 22, at 3 pm ET / 12 pm PT for the 90-minute webinar Funding our Futures: Tax Justice in the States ([link removed]) , a joint effort of SiX and the State Revenue Alliance (SRA). As the Trump administration passes the largest transfer of wealth from the working class to billionaires, this conversation builds on the momentum of tax justice initiatives in states across the country. Attendees will learn from a panel of state legislators and advocacy leaders, who will share lessons from the most recent legislative session and strategies for how states can lead on revenue in the future.

Register below to join us! And if you didn’t get the chance to catch last year’s tax justice briefing, you can catch up here! ([link removed])

** SiX at the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders Annual Conference
------------------------------------------------------------

SiX, alongside members of the SiX Cohort for Rural Opportunity and Prosperity (CROP), were invited to present at the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders Annual Conference in New Mexico. Our panel “State Leadership in Advancing Agriculture Policy Amid Federal Uncertainty” explored how state policymakers and community leaders are building power in both rural and urban areas to advance sustainable agriculture policy through co-governance and shared decision-making. Illinois Rep. Sonya Harper, Iowa Rep. Megan Srinivas, Georgia Sen. Kim Jackson, and Michigan Director of the Department of Agriculture Tim Boring joined us as incredible speakers on the panel.

If you are a legislator interested in CROP, join the cohort here! ([link removed])

** SiX and Guttmacher’s 2025 State Policy Trends Midyear Analysis Report
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]

SiX and the Guttmacher Institute recently published a [link removed] State Policy Trends Midyear Analysis ([link removed]) . The report covers major legislative trends seen in state legislatures this year, including abortion bans, contraception, pregnancy criminalization, maternal health, and young people’s access to sexual and reproductive healthcare.

The ([link removed]) report ([link removed]) is a great resource for learning more about the serious policy challenges that sexual and reproductive healthcare face as well as how people are showing up courageously in the face of these challenges here ([link removed]) . Along with reading the report, you can also watch SiX and Guttmacher’s webinar debrief of the report here ([link removed]) !

** Safety and Wellbeing Resources for Public Servants
------------------------------------------------------------

We are still devastated by the assassination of SiX network member Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, as well as the attempted assassination of Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette. This act of violence is horrifying, heartbreaking, and a stark reminder that political violence is on the rise, targeting those who serve the public with courage and conviction.

We are committed to supporting legislators in Minnesota and across the country in this moment of fear and mourning. We have assembled resources for safety, security, and well-being as part of our comprehensive support offer. We invite you to explore them here ([link removed]) .
