Today, I voted to release the Epstein files. And 212 Republicans voted to block it.

I’ll be the first to say that the Epstein case doesn’t make the top 10 most pressing issues in our country. We’ve got a lot of fires right now. That being said, I do think it’s incredibly telling that a year ago Donald Trump, Pam Bondi and the entire Republican Party were railing about government conspiracies and cover-ups. And now that they’re in charge… not a peep.

Here’s why: Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi got caught lying. They promised to release the Epstein files, and now - for some unexplained reason - they’re backing down.

All I’m asking is that Trump do as he promised and release the files. Or admit he was lying. Will you add your name to my petition today?

Look, John: I understand why Trump’s base is upset. They believe their government is lying to them, and now their own leaders are part of the problem.

While I wish they had this same energy when it comes to Trump slashing healthcare or handing out tax breaks to billionaires, I’ll admit: it’s a good thing Trump is being held accountable - at least for something.
