Hey John, I know it’s getting late, so I won’t take up too much of your time.

One of the hardest things I have to do is ask supporters like you to chip in your hard-earned money and support our team. It’s not why I got into politics, and I wish I didn’t have to think about fundraising goals or important deadlines for even a minute.

But the fact is, these emails are necessary if we want to keep up Pennsylvania’s progress.

The big fights ahead of us won’t only be enormously consequential, John. They will also be enormously expensive. Because we know that extremists will stop at nothing to spread their lies, take us down, and drag Pennsylvania backwards.

So even though I hate to ask this, it’s necessary: Will you donate any amount before midnight tonight to keep our team in fighting shape?
