Folks, it’s John.

It’s been just over a week since Washington Republicans passed their disastrous Medicaid-gutting budget and Donald Trump signed it into law.

In the end, we built up pressure on Republicans and forced them to drop their reckless scheme to sell off public lands — including millions of acres here in Colorado — and negotiated down some of their worst clean energy cuts to save thousands of jobs.

But I won’t sugarcoat it, this legislation is going to cause Americans a lot of pain.

That’s why I’m committed to keeping up the fight to expand working people’s access to health care, and to doing everything I can to reverse the harm Republicans’ policies are causing — no matter how many roadblocks Trump and the GOP throw in our way.
