Israel today took military action in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza, as it continues to defend itself in a multifront war against Iran and its terror proxies.
Israel's Director General of the Ministry of Defense warned today that, "We are already identifying Iran's attempts to recover and embark on a global force-building effort."
In Lebanon, the IDF struck deep inside the country to prevent Hezbollah's elite Radwan terror unit from rebuilding its capabilities.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said the strikes sent "a clear message to the Hezbollah terror organization, which is plotting to rebuild its invasion-of-Israel capabilities through the Radwan force, and also to the Lebanese government, which is responsible for upholding the [November 2024 ceasefire] agreement."
In Syria, Israel has also carried out strikes in recent days, following increased attacks against the Syrian Druze community, a religious minority that has close ties to the Israeli Druze community in Israel's north.
The IDF struck several tanks in southern Syria yesterday that were advancing toward the predominantly Druze city of Sweida, where much of the violence took place.
A terrorist shaves off the mustache of a Druze elder. A mustache is an important cultural symbol within the Druze community.
In Gaza, the IDF is continuing to increase the military pressure on Hamas, while working to destroy its terror infrastructure.
The IDF today dismantled a two-mile-long tunnel, including weapons storage sites, in Khan Yunis.
Amid these ongoing threats on Israel's borders and around the region, continued American support is vital.
Together, we must continue to ensure the United States deepens and expands its collaboration with Israel to help keep both nations safe, strong and prosperous.
Tell Your House Member: Reject Anti-Israel Amendments
Congress could vote as soon as tomorrow on four key amendments, including an anti-Israel amendment led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to end U.S. funding for lifesaving missile defense programs like Iron Dome.
Contact your House member now and urge them to reject the anti-Israel amendments and strengthen U.S.-Israel cooperation.
Anti-Israel U.N. commissioners resign, U.S. stands with Israel at international court
Earlier this month, the three members of the United Nations' anti-Israel Commission of Inquiry (COI) — Navi Pillay, Chris Sidoti, and Miloon Kothari — quietly resigned amid intensified pressure from the Trump administration.
The COI exists to perpetuate one-sided attacks against Israel and is part of the U.N.’s decades-long campaign to criminalize and delegitimize the Jewish state. Congress and the administration must continue to work to end this anti-Israel U.N. organ.
Meanwhile, Acting U.S. Representative to the U.N. Ambassador Dorothy Shea recently reaffirmed that "the United States unequivocally opposes, and expects our allies to oppose, any [International Criminal Court (ICC)] actions against the United States, Israel, or any other U.S. ally that has not consented to ICC jurisdiction."
The United States must continue to stand with Israel as it faces ongoing discrimination on the international stage.
Cruz legislation to designate Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced a bill that would officially designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO).
Hamas was founded as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, which promotes terrorism against the United States, Israel and our other allies.
Several U.S. allies, including Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, have already classified the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group.
AIPAC supports this important legislation to put the FTO designation on the Muslim Brotherhood, which has backed Hamas and other groups that use terrorism to attack U.S. allies and interests across the Middle East.
U.S.-Israel-Serbia cooperation
Today, Belgrade hosted a strategic dialogue conference focused on strengthening the U.S.-Israel-Serbia partnership.
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said, "I am delighted that today in Belgrade we are bringing together people who recognize that the partnership between Serbia, Israel and the United States is a partnership for the future — one that can benefit our economy, our international standing, our security, our high-tech sector, and ultimately, all our citizens."
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
