While folks enjoy their summer vacations, we’re stepping up our re-election efforts to keep CA-27 blue. Here’s why you can’t tune out now:

1. We officially have a GOP opponent in this race – and they received a wholehearted endorsement from Mike Garcia, the Republican that George defeated in November.


2. We’re bracing for a wave of outside spending with this news of an opponent in George’s first re-election race. George has already been on the receiving end of attacks from the NRCC and super PACs who want to flip CA-27 back to red and expand the MAGA House majority.

This is a highly-competitive district for control of the House majority. The stakes are high not only for our communities, but for the entire country – as Republicans choose to prioritize tax breaks for billionaires on the backs of working families who will lose Medicaid and SNAP coverage.
