This week, I am really excited about our e-newsletter topic: volunteering.

My team and I have been analyzing the data that led to the success of our people-driven campaign, and one thing is obvious - our strong team of volunteers was essential to our primary win and getting our campaign’s message out to voters in the district.

We had hundreds of volunteers, and collectively they canvassed approximately 50,000 houses, called or texted nearly 100,000 voters and distributed yard signs to nearly 7,500 unique locations.

Our amazing volunteer team donated their tremendous enthusiasm and time, and hundreds more donated financially to our success, whether it was $5 or the federal maximum contribution. These donations allowed our campaign to purchase door hangers, flyers, t-shirts, yard signs, and promote our campaign through television, radio, direct mailings, and social media.

As we begin our fight for the general election, our grassroots contributors and dedicated volunteers will continue to be the key to our success -- just as they were in our primary election.

So, can we count on you to step up and be one of our amazing volunteers? You can make calls or send texts from the comfort of your home or choose to support our campaign in a number of other ways.
