This month, House Republicans and their counterparts in the Senate passed one of the most sinful bills I’ve ever seen, John. 

And on Independence Day -- a day that should be about celebrating the progress and promise of this country -- President Trump signed it into law, knowing full well that, among so many other atrocities, it will cause eligible men and women to get kicked off Medicaid and lose their health coverage.

We will not let them forget what they did. And with your help, we’ll hold them accountable at the ballot box. That’s why I’m asking you right now -- before tonight’s critical mid-month deadline -- to chip in whatever you can to help us fight back and make sure Democrats have the resources to win.

Republicans don’t care. That’s it. They just don’t care.

Kicking eligible people off Medicaid -- often the most vulnerable people in our society, who have the lowest income and the least education -- so they can give tax breaks to billionaires.

It’s sinful. It’s just sinful. But we’re not giving up now.

What we do right now can affect what happens on election night, and what happens on election night will determine what we can do about so many of the challenges facing our country -- like gun violence, the cost of health care, student debt, and reproductive rights.
