Donald Trump is attempting to rig Texas’s congressional maps to prevent Democrats from winning back the House.
Trump has conspired with Greg Abbott, Ken Paxton, and Texas Republicans to redraw Texas’s congressional maps ahead of the 2026 midterms – attempting to gerrymandering four Democratic-held districts to favor Republicans.
That’s why today I joined my colleagues in the Texas delegation to announce that we will fight this desperate attempt to rig our elections – in Congress, in the courts, and at the ballot box.

Friend, Texas is in the midst of recovering from one of the deadliest floods our state has ever seen.
But as Texas picks up the pieces from this disaster, Abbott and Paxton announced that the Texas legislature would redraw Texas’s congressional maps – years before the state is set to draw new maps.
Let me be clear: this was an order from Donald Trump.
Trump knows his toxic agenda may cost him the House in 2026. So he’s ordering Abbott and Paxton to do his dirty work, even if it will hurt Texans. And because Abbott and Paxton are cowards – they obliged.
But we’re not letting them attack our elections without a fight. My colleagues and I are preparing to fight back in every way possible. But we need your support.
