Hi John,
Happy Disability Pride Month.
This month, and every month, I hope you take some time to honor the leadership, brilliance, and resilience of our disabled community.
The disability rights movement has always been about fighting for access, dignity, healthcare, housing, economic justice, and freedom from violence.
And yet, our systems continue to fail differently abled people—especially Black, brown, queer, and low-income folks with disabilities. Take the recent Republican spending bill: House Republicans voted to slash nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid over the next decade, a move that will cause devastating harm to one of every three disabled people in this country who rely on it…
That’s why we can’t talk about justice without talking about disability justice.
At Politivist Action PAC, we’re building people-powered movements that center the voices and leadership of those too often pushed to the margins. That means uplifting leaders with disabilities, investing in accessible organizing, and fighting for a future that leaves no one behind.
If that vision moves you—if you believe, like I do, that disability justice is a cornerstone of real freedom—I hope you’ll support our work today.
Every dollar helps us amplify the voices of organizers with disabilities, fund justice-driven campaigns, and fuel the kind of movement our communities deserve.
This month, I’m recommitting to the work. I hope you’ll join me.
