AFGE Activist,
AFGE is excited to announce that National President Dr. Everett Kelley has been elected to the AFL-CIO Executive Council. The AFL-CIO is a democratic, voluntary federation of 55 national and international labor unions that represents 12.5 million working people. President Kelley's election to this board ensures that the interests of federal and D.C. government workers will continue to be represented and supported across the labor movement.
As a member of the AFL-CIO Executive Council, President Kelley will also serve on the following Executive Council Committees:
- Civil and Human Rights
- Executive Committee
- Political
- State and Local Labor Councils and Community Partnerships
We extend our deepest congratulations to President Kelley as AFGE continues its partnership with the AFL-CIO. AFGE leaders and activists are reminded to continue to get involved with their area Central Labor Councils that are affiliated with the AFL-CIO.
In Solidarity,
AFGE
