Add Your Prayers to a
Spiritual Bouquet For Cardinal Burke’s Priestly
Anniversary
Dear Friend,
I want you to know the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul is a
momentous occasion for His Eminence Cardinal Raymond Burke…
That feast day, on June 29th, also coincides with the 44th
anniversary of Cardinal Burke’s priestly ordination and the 24th
anniversary of his consecration as a bishop!
For this reason, I would like to invite you to participate in
prayer as we prepare a very special gift for this faithful shepherd
of the Church.
As an outward sign of your appreciation for his spiritual support
and inspiring leadership in promoting Catholic orthodoxy, I invite you
to join with me in presenting His Eminence with a spiritual bouquet of
prayers and sacrifices thanking him for his fidelity to Holy Mother
Church and supporting him in his great efforts!
Add Your Prayerful Gift to
Cardinal Burke’s Spiritual Bouquet!
I am personally grateful that His Eminence has been acting in the
person of Christ and giving us the Holy Eucharist for 44 years now.
When we give our spiritual gift to Cardinal Burke, we can think of the
words of St. Francis de Sales, who compares a bee gathering nectar to
bring to the hive, to a priest carrying the Eucharist to us, the
faithful:
“O my child, bethink you that just as the bee, having gathered
heaven's dew and earth's sweetest juices from amid the flowers,
carries it to her hive; so the Priest, having taken the Savior, God's
Own Son, Who came down from Heaven, the Son of Mary, Who sprang up as
earth's choicest flower, from the Altar, feeds you with that Bread of
Sweetness and of all delight.”
Please join with me to unite our prayers in this spiritual bouquet
as if we are sending a fragrant spray of flowers heavenward, each
intertwined with a Mass intention, a Holy Rosary, or a prayer or
meaningful sacrifice of your choice.
Sincerely in Jesus and Mary,
Thomas J. McKenna Founder and President Catholic Action For
Faith And Family http://www.catholicaction.org/
P.S. – Even faithful shepherds need your
prayers. Join in the Spiritual Bouquet for His
Eminence!
