Donald Trump and ICE promised to go after dangerous criminals.

But the people they’re actually arresting don’t match that promise.

A Los Angeles Times investigation found that nearly 70% of people arrested in the Los Angeles ICE sweeps from June 1 to June 10 had no criminal convictions. In fact, most had never even been charged with a crime.

Instead, they’re randomly picking up our neighbors in order to hit an inhumane human quota, while denying them the due process and civil rights protections they’re entitled to by law.

That’s not law enforcement, it’s intimidation. And they’re doing it without badges, names, or accountability.

Here in California, we lead with transparency. And I am helping lead the charge on the No Masks for ICE Act to bring transparency back to immigration enforcement, before another innocent victim gets ripped off our streets.
