This major victory happened because workers and voters packed the Wilson Building, testified, rallied, and organized across the city.
But our work isn't over. Many councilmembers made clear that they want to reassess Initiative 82 before the second budget vote at the end of the month. That means we need to keep the pressure on to ensure that whatever path forward is considered, it includes tipped workers at the table.
Initiative 82 is still the law in the District, and DC voters believe in an end to the unfair tipped minimum wage. Stay in the fight with us! Start by thanking those who voted with us and keep up the pressure until the next vote.
