When I joined the military, I was young, hopeful, and hungry. At the time, I didn’t think I’d grow up to be Maryland’s first Black governor.
So much has changed since then, but the important things stayed the same: service, gratitude, and humility continue to be the foundation of everything that I do.
Now, I’m fighting every day for all Marylanders. Since taking office we've invested in public safety, focused on ensuring accountability, and partnered with elected and community leaders. It can seem like an uphill battle, but I know we can do this together.
To succeed, I need support from folks like you who believe in our mission. That’s why I have to ask:
