** What’s Happening:

Today is World Youth Skills Day: With this year’s theme focused on empowering youth through AI and digital literacy, it's a timely reminder that online safety must be a core part of that education. Equipping young people with tech skills is only half the equation; they must also have the critical thinking skills and confidence to protect themselves in digital spaces. From managing privacy settings to identifying grooming tactics and knowing how to seek help, real empowerment begins with awareness.

** News Corner:
------------------------------------------------------------

Supreme Court Upholds Age Verification Law in Texas: With unrestricted access to the Internet, children can be exposed to pornography, which can harm their development and lead to addiction at an early age. The Supreme Court recently ruled that Texas’s age verification law, which requires pornography websites to verify that users are at least 18 years of age before granting them access, to be constitutional. This decision sets a precedent for protecting children online and signals a shift towards demanding accountability from tech companies and adult content providers.
