Right now, a pesticide linked to birth defects is being sprayed on millions of acres of farmland across America. That chemical, known as atrazine, runs off into waterways where it contaminates the water of 40 million people.[1]

Atrazine is too dangerous to be used in our farmland or allowed in our water. That's why we're calling on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to phase out toxic atrazine.

According to one recent study, atrazine exposure is linked to birth defects, reproductive problems, and more.[2]

None of this comes as a surprise, because the dangers of atrazine have been known for some time. That's why 60 countries have already banned the pesticide. But in the United States, atrazine is still used on about 75 million acres of farmland.[3]

There has to be a better alternative to spraying our crops with pesticides that cause birth defects.

In today's world, we're exposed to far more dangerous chemicals than we would like, whether they're in the air we breathe or the water we drink. It's time for decision-makers to take a more careful approach to what goes out into our environment and communities.

If we can limit the use of atrazine, we'll take a big step towards leaving our kids a cleaner and safer world. Will you join us in urging the EPA to phase out this toxic pesticide?
