Friend, before I ask you to chip in $5 to help us retire Lauren Boebert and flip the House blue, I want to take a second to explain why I'm in this race.

My story begins in the rural Eastern Plains. My dad was a dedicated civil servant, and my mom was a child care provider. From the beginning, they’ve been my models of servant leadership.

When they both became terminally ill with cancer less than two years ago, I returned home to provide their end-of-life care. It was the toughest thing I’ve ever done. 

It opened my eyes to exactly how broken our systems are, to what’s missing and how little our members of Congress are doing to fix it. I’m running for Congress for everyone to be able to spend time with and care for the ones they love.

In contrast, Lauren Boebert doesn't care about the people of Colorado. She's focused on cozying up to her billionaire friends by passing the largest wealth transfer in U.S. history – from working- and middle-class families to the ultra-rich.

We deserve better. That's why, while Boebert is selling us out, I'm on the ground doing what she refuses to do: listening to the people who will feel these cuts the most.

But if I'm going to keep going, I need your help to make sure I have the resources it will take to win. That's why we set a goal to raise $10,000 before our mid-month deadline, and I'm counting on you, friend, to help me reach it.
