Churches
Should Never Have Been Barred from Endorsing Candidates. Trump Just
Righted That Wrong.
The IRS has ceased silencing Christians from speaking out in the
pulpit in a major victory for religious freedom and free speech.
A 71-year running battle between pastors bringing the Bible into
politics and Uncle Sam has ended with the IRS throwing in the towel—a
tremendous victory for religious liberty in America.
The outcome centers on a lawsuit filed against the IRS last August
by a handful of faith-based advocacy groups and churches arguing the
1954 John Amendment—which restricts tax-exempt churches from
intervening in elections—violates the First and Fifth Amendments to
the Constitution.
Instead of battling in court, the Trump IRS agreed to a
settlement—clarifying that "when a house of worship in good faith
speaks to its congregation . . . concerning electoral politics viewed
through the lens of religious faith, it neither 'participate[s]' nor
'intervene[s]' in a 'political campaign.'" In other words, preaching
on political issues as "matters of faith [does] not run afoul of the
Johnson Amendment."

America Has a Foreign Truck Driver Problem
That's Gone Ignored for Years
President Donald Trump is making trucking great again by undoing
the damage Democrat administrations did to the industry, which cost
Americans jobs and made highways less safe.
For too long, trucking companies have replaced skilled American
semi-truck drivers with foreigners who often lack the required English
skills and training, putting American livelihoods and lives at risk.
President Trump's Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, is working to
fix that glaring problem.
On June 28, Sec. Duffy launched a nationwide audit targeting states
issuing non-domiciled commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs). These are
CDLs issued to temporary legal residents.
This initiative will focus on states like Illinois, Texas, and
California, where an alarming surge in CDLs issued to non-citizens has
undercut American truckers and raised serious safety concerns. Duffy’s
crackdown is a critical step toward restoring fairness in the trucking
industry and protecting lives on America’s highways.

WIN:
Student Suspended for Using the Term “Illegal Alien” Wins in
Court
Judge approves settlement that would require North Carolina school
board to apologize and provide monetary compensation.
In June 2024, Restoration News reported on woke ideologues in a
North Carolina public school who suspended Christian McGhee for using
the term “illegal alien.” McGhee’s family filed a lawsuit against the
school district, and their attorney recently announced a settlement in
favor of the McGhees.
Central Davidson High School suspended Christian for asking a
clarifying question on a classroom assignment regarding the term
“alien.” He questioned whether the teacher meant “space alien” or
“illegal alien?” The school called that a “racially motivated” comment
to disrupt class.
After being branded a racist, Christian and his family received
violent, hate-filled threats, and Christian had to leave his school.
The school board chair reportedly texted false allegations to a state
senator stating that Christian had been thrown out of several schools
and that his mother had a history of harassment. The family did not
back down and sued the school district for violating Christian’s free
speech, education, and due process rights.
