Leadership isn’t about talk. It’s about action when it matters most. It’s about doing things right, and building for the next generation.
It’s the story of so many Canadians, friend.
After World War II, my family left everything behind to come to Canada, and start over on a small farm near Peterborough, Ontario.
A few years later, my father joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, and I grew up moving from base to base across the country.
From a small fishing village in Nova Scotia, to a tiny logging camp at the northern tip of Vancouver Island, and many points in between, I saw firsthand the resilience of our communities, the value of hard work, and the importance of opportunity in every region.
At 17, I followed in my father’s footsteps by joining the Canadian Armed Forces, where I learned what service truly means, and what it feels like to fight for something bigger than myself.
That same drive to serve brought me into politics. Right now, Canada is facing a pivotal moment. We have had a trade war declared on us – one that we did not ask for, but which we must win.
In moments like this, leadership matters.
Leadership isn’t about talk. It’s about action when it matters most. It’s about doing things right, and building for the next generation.
We’ve already stepped up to bring down internal trade barriers, speed up nation-building projects, and create one strong Canadian economy. But there’s still so much more to do, and it will take speed, ambition, and most importantly, your help.
Right now, our team is working hard to meet a $50,000 mid-month fundraising goal online before midnight tonight – because building a stronger, more unified Canada will take all of us.
Are you with me, friend?
Chip in now so Mark Carney and our Liberal team can build a stronger Canada.
