LCV

Friend,

Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of action on Thursday, July 17th to respond to the attacks on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration. LCV is proud to partner with hundreds of organizations across the country to build on the resistance movement that the Hands Off and No Kings protests started earlier this year. Together, we'll mobilize millions of people to show Trump that in the United States, the power lies with the people.

Coined by the late civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, "Good Trouble" is the action of coming together to take peaceful, nonviolent action to challenge injustice and create meaningful change.

The civil rights leaders of the past have shown us the power of collective action. That’s why on July 17th, five years after the passing of Congressman John Lewis, communities across the country will take to the streets, courthouses, and community spaces to carry forward his fight for justice, voting rights, and dignity for all.

With over 1200 events taking place across the country, it is easy for you to join the movement. From voter suppression bills like the SAVE Act to the criminalization of protest, the Trump administration is carrying out a full-scale attack on our civil and human rights. But we know the truth: in this country, the power lies with the people, and we’re rising to prove it.

Thank you for being with us Friend. We march in peace. We act in power.

Good Trouble Lives On,
