The Trump administration is trying to end humanitarian protections for more than half a million immigrants, including thousands who’ve made Maryland their home.
|
Here’s what’s happening:
Trump issued an executive order to terminate the CHNV parole program—a legal pathway that lets immigrants fleeing crisis live and work in the U.S. for humanitarian reasons.
If this program is abruptly ended, thousands of Marylanders could lose their legal status overnight. Families would be separated. Workers would be forced out of their jobs. And entire communities would be thrown into crisis.
That’s why I joined a coalition of Attorneys General to challenge this administration’s assault on immigrant rights.
We told the courts: this mass termination is unlawful, dangerous, and devastating for our state.
Maryland relies on the strength and resilience of immigrants in our schools, small businesses, and neighborhoods. We can’t allow extremist politicians to tear those communities apart for political gain.
I’ll fight every day to keep our communities together, but to continue the fight, I need your help. Will you join us by making a contribution today?

Together, we can defend our values and protect the people who call Maryland home.
With gratitude,
