Join the Families First Mobilization!

When Congress voted to slash Medicaid funding, rip healthcare away from millions of people, and threaten the livelihoods of domestic workers across the country, we knew our response needed to be bigger than ever.

We are mobilizing to fight for Medicaid and show the lawmakers who chose cruelty over compassion, and billionaires over care workers, that their votes were unacceptable.

On July 26th, Families First mobilizations will launch nationwide and bring out tens of thousands of people, including domestic workers and allies, to send a clear, direct message to our leaders: we will not stop fighting for Medicaid.

Save the date so you can join us on July 26th in this mass mobilization for Medicaid. Events are being planned as we speak — and more will be added as we get closer to the 26th!

Graphic saying: Join a Families First Event Near You

People in every corner of the country will feel the harm of Medicaid cuts, including the tens of millions of children, people with disabilities, and older adults no longer able to get the care that allows them to live with dignity in their communities.

In addition to Medicaid cuts, the budget bill’s massive increase in ICE funding means immigrant families will face even more inhumane deportations and raids — all paid for by the cuts to our healthcare.

The care workers who provide essential support to our loved ones and strengthen our communities and economy are also at a heightened risk. These cuts will weaken the care economy we depend on, deepening shortages and putting more families in crisis.

Care workers and families will suffer, while ICE and billionaires benefit. It’s essential that we continue organizing around the harm of this bill and show our lawmakers we won’t stay silent in the face of their damaging vote.

Save the date for the Families First mobilizations right now — July 26th. We WILL show Congress that we refuse to accept the cruel cuts to Medicaid quietly. If there are no events near you yet, more will be added in the next two weeks, so please check back!

Dignity, Unity, Power

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.

Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
