Hawaii’s politicians have now criminalized any satire or parody content they deem “materially deceptive” that could harm “the reputation or electoral prospects of a candidate in an election.”

Democrat politicians outlawing criticism that might prevent Democrat politicians from getting elected…it’s like something straight out of The Babylon Bee.

You can still post jokes under this new law…if you include a disclaimer on each joke. Since state-approved messaging will help the comedy for sure. (DISCLAIMER: SARCASTIC INTENT, NOT MEANT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY.)

Our CEO Seth Dillon explains why we’re challenging Hawaii in court: “The First Amendment protects our right to tell jokes, whether it’s election season or not. We’ll never stop fighting to defend that freedom.” Together with Alliance Defending Freedom, we stopped a similar law in California last year – you can support our work now before another attempt to censor satire crops up from a beautiful but Democrat-run state, like New Mexico. Or New Jersey.

Over the years, we’ve paid for our commitment to telling jokes that sting: we’ve been demonetized, doxxed, and deplatformed. We’ve only survived these attacks because readers like you have stepped up. Become a premium subscriber today and enjoy the perks:
