I filed our 31st lawsuit against the Trump administration today. Here’s why:
Without rhyme, reason, or legal basis, Trump has decided to freeze more than $6 billion in federal education funding for programs administered by the Department of Education — just weeks before kids go back to school.
This unconstitutional and unlawful decision puts things like before and after-school programs, summer learning, classroom technology, and English language learning at risk — and throws planning for the upcoming school year into total chaos.

The Constitution is clear: It’s Congress that holds the power of the purse, not the President. My lawsuit, filed along with 23 attorneys general and two states, asks the court to block any attempts by the Trump administration to withhold or delay this critical funding from the schools, parents, and students who rely on it.
