There are no ifs, ands or buts: Trump’s budget bill is a multi-trillion dollar handout to billionaires and corporations, all paid for by cutting health care and food assistance for the most vulnerable Americans.

575,000 — Research shows that more than half a million Kentuckians could lose or see reductions in their food assistance.

190,000 — According to experts, that’s how many Kentuckians are now at risk of losing their health care coverage.

20,000 — That’s how many health care jobs our state could lose over the next decade.

I voted NO on this bill and I’m determined to do everything I can to help Democrats retake the House next year to reverse it, but I need your help. Can I count on you to pitch in $25 to help make that a reality?

John, I know how important it is that families have health care.

My family was forced to navigate our often-hellish health care system when our twins were born premature.

Unfortunately, far too many families have similar stories, and the reality is that this bill means even more people will suffer.

My promise to you, John, and to Kentuckians everywhere, is that I will never stop fighting to expand health care access.

But it’s a fight I cannot win on my own, and flipping the House is the most important thing we can do to reverse course and restore coverage and food assistance for millions.
