Friend, I host a town hall in my district every month because it gives me an opportunity to hear from my constituents and find out what they need.

Every single member of Congress should be doing the same — but Republicans seem to have a knack for avoiding their constituents.

One of those Republicans is Rep. Andy Ogles. You may remember him as the guy who said that Zohran Mamdani should have his citizenship revoked by the Department of Justice.

He also enthusiastically voted to kick millions of Americans, including thousands in his district, off Medicaid, food assistance, and other life-saving programs.

But now that his voters have serious questions for him about that vote, he’s nowhere to be found. So, I decided to go down to his district in Tennessee over the weekend.

I figured that if he’s not going to find the bravery to speak to his constituents, then I’ll do it for him, alongside local Democratic leaders who are fighting to hold Rep. Ogles accountable.

As I looked around at the crowd, I felt that the future was bright.

Most of the 500+ people who joined our town hall told me they'd never been to one before — that they've never had a chance to talk with the people who claim to represent them.

And it is clear when you go out and talk with regular people anywhere around the country that they feel betrayed by this administration and its attacks on working people, immigrant communities, and our basic rights as Americans.

Friend, we have to keep up the momentum we are seeing on the ground and continue to work to block Trump’s unpopular agenda.

The best way you can assist me in doing more events like these and doing more to put Republicans on the spot is by making a contribution to my campaign today and powering our efforts.

Chip in today — $5, $10, any amount — to help me keep up the all-important fight to defend our democracy and spread the truth about Trump’s harmful administration. We have The People on our side, but only when we can deliver a message that speaks directly to their needs and raise resources to get that message out there.
