** John,
------------------------------------------------------------
On July 9th, ICE agents showed up at the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture in Humboldt Park — a cornerstone of our community.
Tell ICE they aren’t welcome in our communities - donate today. ([link removed])
This museum isn’t just a building. It’s a symbol of pride and culture. It’s home to festivals, gatherings, and celebrations that unite our people.

So why was ICE there?
No arrests were made. No warrants issued. No reason was given.
It appears they were staging and rehearsing — preparing to target upcoming community events. Let that sink in. Federal against using our cultural institutions as rehearsal grounds to intimidate and illegally detain our people.
This is not public safety. This is state-sanctioned fear. This is ICE acting like a rouge force — and we are saying loud and clear: ICE is not welcome here.
Our partners showed up immediately to denounce this act — and I’m standing with them. Because no one should be hunted and arrested for attending a festival. No one should be afraid to gather in joy to celebrate arts and the rich cultural heritage of our community members. And no federal agency should be acting as though they are above the law.
SUPPORT TODAY ([link removed])
We will protect our community. We will hold ICE accountable. And we will not back down.
If you’re with us in fighting back against this kind of terror and standing up for our neighbors, chip in now. ([link removed])
In this moment, silence is unacceptable. Together, we need to be louder than the fear and discord ICE is trying to sow in our communities.
In Solidarity,
Delia
