Over the past week, our beloved Hill Country has been tested like never before by the devastating floods—but the strength, faith, and resilience of our community have never been more evident.

On Friday, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump traveled to Kerrville ([link removed]) to stand in solidarity with those affected. Their visit was a powerful show of support ([link removed]) for the families and first responders working tirelessly to recover.

As I’ve said many times since the flooding began, the Texas Hill Country represents the very best of America—resilient, faithful, and united in the face of hardship. I’m deeply grateful for the President’s leadership and his unwavering commitment to the people of Texas.

We’ve also witnessed remarkable acts of heroism ([link removed]) , like the U.S. Coast Guard Squadron from Corpus Christi, which helped rescue hundreds of Texans during the storm. #HillCountryStrong isn’t just a hashtag—it’s who we are.

My team has remained on the ground and in constant coordination with local, state, and federal officials to ensure a strong, effective response. With more rain and flooding hitting the region again, we must stay vigilant, continue praying, and keep showing up for our neighbors in need.

Yesterday, I shared a message of faith ([link removed]) , describing the response in Hunt and Kerrville as a testament to “the power of the Cross”—a reminder that our community is not just rebuilding physically, but spiritually as well.
