At a time when public trust is fractured and polarization is often rewarded, Future Caucus is proud to honor elected leaders who are proving a better way is possible.
Nominations are now open for the 8th Annual Rising Star Awards, taking place this November in Washington, D.C.! [[link removed]]
America needs leaders who reject today's cynicism and hyperpartisanship in favor of something more ambitious: solving our most urgent challenges with a spirit of political entrepreneurship that builds broad coalitions and expands what is politically possible.
Honorees are not content to succeed in the system as it is. Through their leadership, not only do they creatively forge relationships which allow them to get results today, but they model an approach which can improve how our democratic institutions serve the American people.

A trio of awards celebrates this innovative leadership:
* The Rising Star Award recognizes an individual Gen Z or millennial state legislator whose cross-partisan collaboration has led to measurable impact on a state-level challenge, whether through policy, public engagement, or civic renewal.
* The Cherisse Eatmon Collective Impact Award honors a partnership of two or more politically diverse young state legislators who have built consensus on a challenging public issue, ideally resulting in meaningful legislation. This award is typically presented to a state Future Caucus whose members have demonstrated exceptional collective leadership.
* The Jacob K. Javits Prize for Bipartisan Leadership is awarded to Members of Congress of any generation who have bridged partisan divides on issues of urgent national concern, resulting in legislative achievements that advance the public interest.
