Dear Friend,
Last week, we reached out about urgent threats to lifesaving global health and humanitarian aid. There is still time to act. The Senate is preparing for a final vote on a bill that would gut international assistance funding by rolling back $8.3 billion in already approved and critically important funds.
These cuts are more than numbers. They would mean:
- Expectant mothers going without prenatal care
- Children going without basic medical services
- People with HIV losing access to treatment
- Health systems collapsing in crisis zones
This rescissions package isn’t just a budget technicality — it would put millions of lives at risk. If enacted, it would also send a message that the United States is no longer a reliable partner in times of need. That we’re willing to walk away from the very people who need us most.
I’ve seen firsthand how much U.S. leadership matters in times of crisis. Don’t let America turn her back. Together we can make a difference if people like you, Friend, speak out when it matters most.
That’s why I’m asking you to take action today. Will you send a message to your Senators and urge them to reject these devastating funding cuts?

Without immediate intervention, the ripple effects of these proposed funding cuts will be devastating to Project HOPE’s mission. From affecting our response to urgent health needs to interfering with our support of families displaced by disaster and conflict, these cuts are not just policy shifts — they are life-or-death realities. They affect mothers, fathers, and entire communities who rely on humanitarian assistance to survive the darkest moments of their lives.
Your voice can make a difference. Each message reinforces a clear signal: Everyone deserves health and HOPE. Turning our backs on communities in crisis is not acceptable.
Please, Friend, take a moment today to contact your Senators and urge them to stand up for global health and reject these cuts.

Thank you for standing with us at this critical moment and for using your voice to protect health, dignity, and human lives around the world.
